Le poste

Key Responsibilities EHS System Management: Deploy, maintain, and improve the EHS management system in accordance with ISO standards (14001, 45001, 50001) and Group guidelines. Compliance & Regulatory Affairs: Ensure strict adherence to the Moroccan Labor Code (Law 65-99) and environmental laws. Act as the primary liaison with local authorities (labor inspectors, fire departments, environmental regulators). Risk Management & Operational Safety: Assess and mitigate risks related to chemicals, machinery, and working at heights. Supervise the safety of employees and subcontractors during both construction and production phases. Environmental Management: Oversee the compliant disposal of waste (especially hazardous and chemical waste), monitor emissions (VOCs, wastewater), and contribute to sustainability goals (ESG, carbon footprint). Incident & Emergency Management: Lead investigations following accidents or near misses, implement corrective actions, and maintain fire protection systems and emergency response plans. Culture & Team Building: Recruit and manage a local EHS team, audit suppliers, and establish a proactive safety culture across all levels of the plant.

Profil recherché

Candidate Profile Education: Bachelor’s degree minimum (Master’s preferred) in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, or Chemical Engineering. Experience: At least 5 years of EHS management experience in the industrial sector, including a minimum of 2 years in a Manager or leadership role. Industry Background: Required experience in demanding industrial environments (chemicals, automotive, battery manufacturing, or large-scale construction projects). Technical Expertise: Proven mastery of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards as well as the Moroccan legal framework. An international certification (NEBOSH, IOSH) is a strong asset. Multicultural Environment: Prior experience within an international or Asian/Maroc company is highly valued to facilitate management synergies and cross-cultural communication. Languages: Perfect fluency in French or Arabic (for interactions with local authorities and shop-floor operations) AND a good level of English (written and spoken) for corporate Group reporting. Soft Skills: Strong leadership, adaptability to simultaneously manage a construction site and an operational start-up, and excellent coordination abilities.
